Artist: Lamili
Lamili Engel(born Lilian Ojiudu in the early 1980s in Onitsha in Anambra State) is a Port Harcourt Nigeria based Songwriter, Singer and Performer. Raised in the suburbs of Onitsha and Ghana, Lamili’s love for music started at a very early age and grew as she got older. She’s the first of 5 children.
Lamili started music professionally in 2002 with Nick and The Safari band and later moved on with King Sunny Brown Jazz band. Her first album was recorded sometime in 2007. She later got signed to Grafton Records where she got the opportunity to work with Hip hop artist M-Trill Teria on a song titled Crazy Love. Later, Lami recorded a hit song titled Ndidi (a dedication to her mother and her late Grand father).
Her hit songs includes NDIDI, ICE WATER and I GO SURVIVE.
Lamili’s musical influences includes Onyeka Owenu and Tracy Chapman.
