East Africa’s super emcee Madtraxx meets West Africa’s finest, IllBliss and Chidinma in the soulful “Bless Me”, the year’s most unexpected music collabo courtesy of the genius of Sylvastone who also lends his vocals to the hook and bridge. The rightly titled song is not your common celebrity rant about money and fame but a prayer of gratitude for all the many blessings that surround us. However, don’t be scared by all the gospel talk, “Bless Me” will just as much get you dancing as it will make you reflect on the things you’ve taken for granted.
IllBliss is a veteran Nigerian hip-hop artist and music talent manager with over a decade of experience . His sophomore album titled “Oga Boss” is scheduled for release under the Goretti Capital music joint venture and features a cameos from Ice Prince, Brymo, Naeto C and Silvastone among others.
Chidinma on the other hand is a Project Fame West Africa alumni, having won back in 2011. Her hit single “Kedike” (produced By Veteran producer, Cobhams Asuquo) is currently on heavy rotation on all local stations. She cites her musical influences as Alicia Keys, Omawumi, Fela Kuti Bob Marley to mention a few.
Moreover, you can expect much more from this musical ménage-a-trois ; word is the trio are working on more songs that’ll hopefully be compiled into one single album. And with “Bless Me” as a preview of what to expect, we can only look forward to more chart-topping hits.
